You're Smarter Than Your Anger
You have a brilliant mind, but it is not fully activated when you're ruled by your anger and resentment.
When you move into whole brain processes by focusing on what is good, right, and working, you can access and activate your emotional intelligence. Your anger does not have to "dumb you down." You can be smart and angry at the same time, but only when you're using your whole brain and emotional intelligence.
Let's look a little closer at how this works:
- Anger operates within the primitive brain, in the "fight" reflex, where you feel like a victim and want revenge and retaliation.
- When you activate your higher brain functions with the practice of Goodfinding, you can then decide the best course of action to resolve the issues that are bothering you.
- Your primitive (primary) mind can still operate while your secondary, positive mind is keeping you focused on the big picture, positive perspective. Healthy anger is a whole brain process.
- This is Goodfinding and emotional intelligence in action.
Think of it this way...
With a big picture, positive focus, your anger becomes your ally, taking you toward your best course of action.
