Refresh, Renew & Revitalize
It is so easy to slip back to the old default negative mindset, which is the foundation for all anger, anxiety, and depression.
This is only because of the well-worn groove of fight, flight, or freeze patterns in your brain that kick in whenever you're not paying attention.
So, pay attention! Choose to return again and again to gratitude for the good things in your past, appreciation for
all that is good, right, and working in the present, and optimism about the unlimited positive possibilities in your future.
- You're not ignoring the problems with this Goodfinding practice, you are simply getting prepared to deal with them in a healthier and more successful way.
- Left alone, negative emotions can take over your thinking and perception, painting your entire world in dark, bleak colors.
- This contributes to the liklihood of unhealthy anger, which only makes your problems worse.
- When you shift to a positive mindset with Goodfinding practices, you will be able to choose healthy anger (effective action to create solutions), especially in your optimism focus.
- So try this...practice gratitude, appreciation, and
optimism, and when you get to the optimism part, think of the good results you can achieve by taking positive effective action in the direction of healthy outcomes for yourself and all concerned.
This is not a one and done proposition. You have to return to it daily, and throughout each day, because of the power of that habitual negative mindset that will kick in when you're not paying attention.
Think of it this way...
When you
practice Goodfinding, you are remembering the bright, loving being you truly are.
