Be Honest With Your Anger
|
Business Insider Magazine recently published an article about Dr. DeFoore's new book Goodfinding! Read the article here. |
You cannot be truly honest unless you acknowledge all of your emotions, including your anger.
This is hard for many of us, because we don't want to hurt others's feelings, so we just hold anger inside, often at the expense of honesty and intimacy.
So how can you be honest with your anger, while still remaining kind and compassionate with the one you're with?
Think of it this way...
Everyone has anger at some point, and this does not have to be a problem for you or anyone else, as long as you express it in healthy ways and never allow it to override your compassion.. William DeFoore |
First, be honest with yourself, and journal from your anger.
Your anger is there for a reason, and it's
neither good nor bad. Like any other form of stress or tension, it needs to be released.
